Comprehensive Eye Exams
Depending on your medical and family history, you should be visiting an eye doctor yearly. Some patients with high risk for eye disease require more frequent visits. What's more, if you already wear glasses or contacts, or have a diagnosed eye disorder, you should be evaluated at least once a year. Our Colorado Springs office can evaluate your eyes to determine if any vision correction or advanced treatments are required. Our primary focus is on protecting and improving your vision. Eye exams provided in our clinic include: regular vision exams, evaluations for eye glasses, evaluations for contact lenses, and evaluations for medical conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and, cataracts.
Glasses and Contact Lenses
Once you meet with either Dr. Arbaugh or Dr. Merryman for a comprehensive vision exam, you might need to be assessed further if you plan to wear contact lenses. The exam for contact lenses is separate from your generic vision exam to determine a need for glasses. Nonetheless, both evaluations can be conducted in-house at our Alpine Vision location in Colorado Springs. Our eye care specialists will expertly guide you through the process of deciding whether to go with glasses only or both contact lenses and glasses. We understand this might be a confusing process for you, which is why we make ourselves available to answer any questions or concerns you might have. Our doctors also ensure that you select contact lenses that are comfortable and suit your unique lifestyle.
Medical Eye Treatment
In addition to examining your eyes and providing prescription glasses and contact lenses, our Colorado Springs location can handle a range of eye emergencies. We are more than happy to assist you with dry eye treatment, glaucoma, pink eye, and any other common vision problems. We also provide co-management services for patients who are in need of cataract surgery or desire LASIK surgery.
