Eye health and good vision go hand in hand, and the professional optometrists at Alpine Vision are dedicated to ensuring the best of both for our patients in three separate Colorado locations. The ability to see clearly is especially important in our spectacular Rocky Mountain environment. Local conditions can be hard on the eyes, including abundant sunshine and UV rays, blinding winter snow and glare, seasons filled with pollens and other allergic triggers, and winter fireplace smoke that can irritate eyes despite the fragrant odors of burning pinyon.
Our staff at each location is fully trained and equipped to treat eye diseases, offer urgent care, and diagnose and monitor eye conditions including dry eyes, red eyes, pink eye (conjunctivitis), glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, astigmatism, and cataracts. Our experience and expertise are complemented by state-of-the-art technology that allows us to view the interior of each eye and to chart its landscape. This "mapping" ability aids in diagnosis and assists with the correction of vision problems. We do it all in an effort to provide each patient with greater clarity and the utmost quality of care, both for healthy eyes and for necessary vision correction.
Whether you opt to wear eyeglasses or modern contact lenses, we will help you make the selection that best fits your lifestyle and meets your needs. If you're interested in exploring Lasik options, we'll help you decide if it's right for you; then we'll also provide pre and post-op care.
Each of our three locations has a full-time practicing doctor of optometry, as well as trained technicians, paraoptometrics and opticians.
Conveniently located on Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs, this is our oldest location, established in 2001. Dr. Christopher J. Arbaugh is the primary optometrist here, though he also visits Falcon on a regular basis. A Michigan native with a BS from Michigan State, Dr. Arbaugh received his Doctorate from the University of Houston. His focus is on primary care optometry, ocular pathology and Lasik co-management.
In a small community located "just down the hill" to the east of Colorado Springs, Falcon was chosen as the site of our second clinic in 2006. Dr. Merryman joins Dr. Arbaugh to offer patients in Falcon the professional service they deserve, supplemented by a full eyeglass selection and caring support staff.
Patients north of Denver are served by Dr. Tyson Reuter at our newest clinic in Windsor, opened in 2014. Dr. Reuter earned his Bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Southern California, before earning a Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston. While there, he completed three separate patient care rotations. He also has a focus on primary care, as well as additional specialties in Lasik co-care and ocular pathology.
